Temporary Dismissals will be in the laws of the game all age groups.

TEMPORARY DISMISSALS (SIN BINS)

The FA have been trialling a temporary dismissals all season and the feedback is very positive from both players and referees so from the start of season 2019/20 all age groups at grass roots level will have temporary dismissals for any dissent by word or action.

For teams playing 90 minutes the temporary dismissal is 10 minutes. For all other teams the temporary dismissal is 8 minutes. During the temporary dismissal the team will not be allowed to substitute for player in sin bin meaning the team will have to play with player(s) short.

When the referee decides a offence of dissent has been committed by a player the referee will show a yellow card and point to the touchline. There is no admin charge by the FA for this yellow card.

If a player commits two offences of dissent in 1 game they will be sent to the sin bin and will not be able to take any further part in the game but a substitute can be made.

Other cautions will still work in the same way however if a player has already been in sin bin this will be taking into account.
