The game was played on 3G pitch on a warm Saturday afternoon.

A fairly calm start with both sides feeling their way into the game with not many chances being created.
On 14 minutes first goal arrives for Halse when Read latches onto a loose at the back and gets to the by line. Read pokes his toen onto it and squares it to Durnin whos able to knock it into a empty net.

Then just 3 minutes later more action in the Thame box when Durnin is one on one and gets totally wiped out by the Thame keeper. The referee had no choice other than to point to the spot. Durnin converts from the spot into the bottom right.

Then straight from kick off, Thame get in down the right and gets the ball into the Halse box. Thame 8 gets into the middle of the box and finds the bottom left.

A early substitution during a water break with Salvatore making way for new signing Ralph.
After the water break the game gets back underway and on 31 minutes Halse right back Ramsay makes a mistake at the backand plays a loose ball across the box which is picked up on from Thame number 10 who has all the time in the world to roll it past Halse keeper Matthews.

A couple more substitutions for Halse on 33 and 35 minutes Humphries making way for young midfielder Stonhill then B Purnell makes way for Humphries to go back on.
Then final substitution for Halse with Ramsay off and Salvatore on.
On 40 minutes its another goal for Thame who have had more of the ball since the water break and have punished Halse. The Thame 14 cuts in on the right and whips in a cross, which bypasses everyone and nestles into the bottom left of the Halse goal.

Just before half time Thame get in down the right again and lays the ball across the box. However defender Salvatore is well placed to clear the ball.

Second half kicks off at 13.53.
On 47 minutes the Halse gaffers make another substitution with Stonhill off and forward Summers on.
First booking happens on 53 minutes and it comes Halse way when Blaylock gets booked for dissent yellow card.
Were 9 minutes into the second half and Mortimer is off for Ramsay to return to the field of play.
Halse get their first chance of the second half on 57 minutes when Read nips in behind the Thame defence and sees his shot well saved. The ball bounces back to Read who lays it over to Durnin who's shot is blocked onto the post.
Next booking goes Thame way on 60 minutes when Thame 14 is booked for a late tackle on Humphries and some afters on the floor.
After a great 70 minutes from Blaylock he makes way Stonhill to return to the game.
Into the final 20 minutes now and Halse number 17 Summers gets in down the right, slots it back to VC Read, Read takes his time and slots it left footed into the bottom right of the Thame net.

More action just minutes later with Summers again when he gets the better of his man again on the right and is pulled back and another penalty is given to Halse. Durnin steps up and coverts his penalty for his hatrick and Halse are finally back in front.
Thame 3-4 Halse United
Were 10 minutes from full time now and Thame have a chance when they get in down the right and one on one with Matthews but defender Salvatore throws his body across and keeps Halse in front.
Final booking of the game and Durnin receives a yellow for blocking a quick free kick for Thame.
